About the Author

Margaret Johnson is the mother of five children, two daughters and three sons who are now adults. When her second daughter, Kathi, was 18, she attended a church youth camp in Northern California with three teenage boys. On the way home, they were involved in an auto accident killing three of the kids, including Kathi.

Kathi and her mother, Margaret, had mother-daughter conflicts throughout Kathi's adolescent and teen years. When she announced during her senior year in high school that she was moving in with her best friend after graduation their conflicts reached their zenith and Kathi slammed out the door.

Through tearful prayers, Margaret asked God to change Kathi, but he surprised her by telling her to 'let go' of her and release her to Him. Realizing that she had unfavorably compared Kathi to her older daughter, Margaret knew she had to do to break down the barriers between them. She asked Kathi to forgive her and as Kathi asked forgiveness too, they wept together. The wall between them came down.

It was a memorable day, because Kathi had less than 3 months left to live after that day. In those 3 months, mother and daughter developed a sweet and warm relationship before God took Kathi Home.

Margaret has been speaking for many years at Christian Women's Clubs, churches, and retreats and is available to share Kathi's story.
